CHEMICALS & HAZMAT
The chemical industry is an important driver of the global economy withglobal annual sales of around € 2 trillion. The EU remains a leading chemicals production area, valued at about€ 500 billion and accounting for almost 25 per cent of world chemicals production. Europe’s share of the global chemicals production dropped however from 32 to 25 per cent between 1999 and 2009, due to stronger growth in other parts of the world (Deloitte Chemical Logistics Vision, 2011).
Logistics are a key aspect of the chemical industry as production and consumption locations are mostly separated. Efficient, competitive and sustainable logistics are therefore of great importance for its future development. Logistics are typically quite agile, flexible and adjustable and as such, provide opportunities to respond to market changes quickly and effectively. We transport Chemicals and dangerous goods, whether ADR, IMO or DG classified by all transport means: FTL & LTL, FCL & LCL and by Airfreight. Classes served 2-9. We also manage our own fleet of ISO Container-Tanks for short-sea distribution in Europe and the Mediterranean for bulk freight.
Safe, efficient and sustainable logistics are critical to the future of the European chemical industry. Ensuring safe transport and handling of its products, with care for the environment and in full accordance with regulations, is of key importance for the image and reputation of the chemical industry. The chemical industry promotes excellence in supply chain operations, with the aim of achieving higher efficiency, making better use of available resources and reducing the impact on the environment.
